On this episode of Painting Discourse, I come across three rusty chairs leaning up against a birch tree in a wooded field that provided a pretty good visual challenge to paint. I talk about plein air painting and phenomenology, as well as a quote describing the works of Van Gogh from the Deleuze and Guattari book "Anti-Oedipus". There is also a version of this video on my Substack. You can now buy this painting and many more of my works on my website! link to the painting: https://www.giantartproductions.com/product/three-abandoned-chairs-study-/ZZYBJFNMLNEUKFDISX7ETVRI?cs=true...
