On this episode of Tubi Dumpster Dives, I examine a film near and dear to me. Lola is about a woman in Vancouver with no sense of self or identity who adopts the life and backstory of a friend she meets while wandering aimlessly. In it is various themes of identity and purpose, rural vs. urban life, early 2000s aesthetics, and the deeper context of living in a modern nowhere land that is Canadian society.
