The first thing we must monitor is what brought us into such a dry place. The causes of spiritual dryness can be independence, disobedience, busyness, and sin. We enter into these usually deliberately. When in spiritual dryness it can seem like God isn't hearing us, but in reality, He may be waiting for us to repent.
