In Colossians 2:11–23, Paul reminds us of the incredible freedom we have in Christ. Our debt was greater than we could ever pay, but Jesus took it upon Himself—nailing it to the cross and canceling it completely. Because of Christ, there is nothing left to pay. We don’t have to earn God’s favor, prove ourselves through religious rules, or live under the weight of a debt that has already been settled. Jesus did what we never could, and now we are invited to live in the freedom, forgiveness, and fullness of salvation.
