White House Holds Frontier Models From UK Testers

The White House Office of the National Cyber Director has asked OpenAI and Anthropic to withhold new frontier models from the UK’s AI Security Institute until a US security review is complete, Politico reported. Anthropic has already complied, keeping Claude Mythos 5.1 US-only under Project Glasswing — the first time AISI was left out of a pre-release Anthropic evaluation.
