Greg passed away on February 14, 2025, at the age of 61. His death followed a courageous, 10-month public battle with stage four pancreatic cancer. Sharpe is survived by Amy and their three daughters, Emily, Campbell, and Taylor. Both schools have founded academic scholarships in sports broadcasting in Sharpe's name, and the effort to raise money for his K-State scholarship is falling behind.
