Ginkgo gives NSF X-Labs cloud lab access but terms unclear

Ginkgo Bioworks is providing remote access to its Boston autonomous lab and protein-testing services to teams in the NSF X-Labs program, an in-kind contribution announced on October 8 by OSTP Director Michael Kratsios. The offer includes Ginkgo Cloud Lab access to more than 70 instruments run on Reconfigurable Automation Carts and protein testing for designs, including proteins generated by AI models.
