Police monitor canned at daybreak, despite hours of public outcry

The Common Council voted early Wednesday morning to fire Madison’s interim independent police monitor Aeiramique Glass. The vote came after several hours of public comment, and additional hours of debate. Concerned members of the public occupied the council chambers all the way up until the vote – and city officials struggled to maintain order after the controversial decision was handed down.
